Prayer for Him to Come Back Into Agreement

"Do two walk together, unless they have agreed?"

Amos 3:3

Lord, we are two people walking in two different directions, and Amos 3:3 asks, 'Do two walk together, unless they have agreed?' Right now we are not agreed on anything, and I am asking You to bring us back into one mind. Genesis 2:24 says a man shall leave his father and mother and join with his wife, and they will be one flesh — so I am praying against every division that has come between what You made one. 1 Corinthians 1:10 says that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgment. Perfectly united, God. Not tolerating each other. Joined.

Put us back together the way You did the sticks in Ezekiel. Ezekiel 37:17 says, 'Join them for yourself one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand' — two separate things becoming one again in the hand of God, and that is what I am asking for over this marriage. Jeremiah 32:39 says, 'I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good and the good of their children after them.' One heart and one way, Lord, and let it be for the good of our children too. Zephaniah 3:9 says that they may all call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder — so I am praying we would serve You together again. Psalm 133:1 says, 'Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!' Bring the good back and bring the pleasant back. In Jesus' name, amen.

Declarations

I decree that division is broken over my home, because Matthew 12:25 says every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. I refuse desolation over my house. Ephesians 4:3 says be diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace — I decree that bond is being tied back together. Colossians 3:14 says above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.

I speak one mind over us, because Philippians 2:2 says be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind. Romans 15:5 says may the God of patience and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another. I speak that the same God who grants like-mindedness is granting it in my marriage. 1 Peter 3:7 says live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to her as heirs together of the grace of life. I speak that we are heirs together again.

I come into agreement with Matthew 18:19, which says if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. The enemy knows what happens when two agree, and that is exactly why he has fought so hard to keep us divided. Deuteronomy 32:30 says one could chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight. I come into agreement that we are getting our ten thousand back.

I declare that we will see eye to eye, because Isaiah 52:8 says they will see eye to eye when the Lord returns to Zion. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. Psalm 85:10 says mercy and truth meet together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. I declare that mercy and truth are meeting in my marriage, and peace is walking back through my front door.

Pray This All Day

"Give us one heart and one way, Lord. Join us back together in Your hand."
