Prayer
Prayer of Repentance & Surrender
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
God, before I ask You for one thing concerning my husband, I need to come clean before You myself. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 You said that if Your people will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, You will hear from heaven and heal their land — so I am humbling myself right now, and I am asking You to hear me and heal my home. You said in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, so I confess it — all of it — and I receive Your cleansing this morning. In Psalm 51:10 David asked You to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him, and that is my cry too, Lord. Search me, because Psalm 139:23 says, 'Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.' I am giving You permission to go into every room in me and turn the light on.
And show me what I have been excusing. Isaiah 59:2 says our sins have separated us from God and hidden His face from us, so I am breaking every agreement I have made with sin that has been standing between me and hearing Your voice clearly. If there is unforgiveness in me — toward my husband, toward her, toward anybody — I am letting it go right now, because You said in Matthew 6:14 that if we forgive others their trespasses, our heavenly Father will also forgive us. Romans 12:1 says to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, and that is exactly what these three days are. I am laying myself on Your altar and holding nothing back. Jesus said in Luke 22:42, 'Not my will, but yours, be done,' and I mean that even when it costs me — so take my timeline, take my way of fixing this, and have Your way in me first. In Jesus' name, amen.
Declarations
I decree that my sins are washed, because Isaiah 1:18 says though our sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Micah 7:19 says God will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea, so what I confessed today is drowned and it is not coming back up. Psalm 103:12 says as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us — that distance is one God set, not one I have to keep measuring. Proverbs 28:13 says whoever confesses and renounces their sin finds mercy, and I decree that mercy is on me today.
I speak a new heart over myself, because Ezekiel 36:26 says God will give us a new heart and put a new spirit within us, taking away the heart of stone and giving a heart of flesh. Every hard place in me that this season created, I speak softness back into it. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation — the old things have passed away, and behold, all things have become new. I speak that I am not the woman I was when this started, and I refuse to walk out of this fast the same way I walked in.
I come into agreement with Psalm 66:18, which says if I cherish sin in my heart, the Lord will not listen — so I am clearing everything out of the way of my own prayers. James 4:8 says draw near to God and He will draw near to you; cleanse your hands and purify your hearts. I am doing my part so He can do His. Hebrews 4:16 says let us draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. I come into agreement that my access is restored and my prayers are being heard right now.
I declare that God is not despising anything I brought Him today, because Psalm 51:17 says the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, and a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. Joel 2:13 says tear your heart and not your garments, and turn to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. I declare that this surrender is not weakness — it is the position God moves from. And Isaiah 61:3 says He gives a crown of beauty instead of ashes, so I declare that everything I laid down today, He is going to hand back to me better than I gave it.
Pray This All Day
"Search me, God, and know my heart. Have Your way in me."
